Helpful and HEALTHful

I'm ecstatic to be starting this new blog here today! This has been on my mind for a while and thank goodness for schoolwork for getting my thoughts into actions.
I created my first blog when I left on a mission for my Church and continued writing things that I learned and felt as I continued to strengthen my relationship and testimony of Jesus Christ. I will still keep up with that one but I want to use this one as an opportunity to share my thoughts on health habits that relate to diet, exercise, home, family, mind and soul.

To whomever is reading this I ask you to be patient and hang in there with me. There are so many thoughts I have with this new adventure but I want this to be more than a blog about random stuff that I like to do but rather I would love for it to be a resource that others can glean information from that can be helpful in their own lives.
The focus of this blog is HEALTH.
I love learning more about what health is. To me, it is so much more than just eating right and exercising. It is about knowing what I need to feel good physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It's about understanding who I am and where I want to go. It's about making myself a priority. As I feel full, I can't help but want to share that goodness with others and therefore others around come to feel of health benefits for themselves.

The original purpose of this website was to have a website link for my community health methods social marketing campaign. I have chosen to talk about:
  • How we can know what foods to eat that meet our specific nutritional and medical needs
  • How we can access these foods for good prices in our communities
  • How to prepare these foods in a timely manner and in a way that the whole family will love.
Sometimes I feel that as technology has advanced we have gained access to resources that people wouldn't even imagine 100 years ago! At the same time, it's unfortunate to see that we have lost certain things in our communities like awareness of others and cohesiveness to meet the needs of others. For example, we have turn to convenience foods because we don't have time to prepare foods like we used to.
